PTC - hold e trip current?

Num PTC, quando é este abre o circuito? no hold current ou no trip current?

Hold Current is the maximum current guaranteed not to trip the device.

Trip é a corrente a partir da qual é garantido que corta
Hold é a corrente até onde é garantido que não corta.
